Cornford House Nursing Home CQC Inspection Reports

The Care Quality Commission (CQC), formerly the Commission for Social Care Inspection, regulates and inspects all adult social care services in the public, private and voluntary sectors in England.  This involves giving a quality rating to all care homes:  no stars indicates a poor home, 1 star an adequate home, 2 stars a good home and 3 stars an excellent home.

Cornford House is an “excellent” home with a three star rating.

The home’s excellent rating was achieved whilst the home was located in the old Cornford House building.  The home has been completely rebuilt and and the excellent rating sustained.  On Management and Administration the latest report states that “residents benefit from a needs led and safe service which is run in their best interests by a manager and staff who are committed to providing a good quality of life for older people.”
